Hagaromo

Director, Playwright and chorographer: Aracely Reyes
Mentor: Yvette Nolan

An ancient folktale from beautiful and mysterious Japan. In a world ruled by faerie angels, a young maiden is bound forever on earth after losing her precious “wings” to man with an eye for divine power. A feminist coming of age story about what it truly means to be a woman and surviving in a world where what rules all is strength, beauty, and the will to go on when all seems lost.

Congratulations! You Need Glasses!

Written & Directed by: Rachel Colford
Mentor: Lauren Brotman

When I was 9, I found out that I was near-sighted and began to wear glasses. I then started at a new school, and when first introduced to my class, a student said "She has glasses! She must be smart!" I immediately took on this stereotype and got the best marks in the class.

Collectively created by the company
With direction by: Owais Lightwala & Shannon Doyle

"Lie" was born out of the collaborative effort of 7 playwrights. Originally a script by Ruta Mekonnen and Jenny Alexander titled "Invoices", this potent piece of theatre has grown and transformed into an unanticipated gem!

Idealism of the Unknown

Collectively created by: Laurel Brady, Jamie Ebbs, Alex Fields and Katy Murphy
Mentor: Monica Dottor
Idealism of the Unknown was inspired by Lady Gaga, distorted, and spit out as something completely different. We all have to deal with things that hold us back: great loss, a struggle with the person you love or your own personal demons. What divides us is never as strong as what brings us together.
